MBA, PGDM Admission-2013

NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT)-2013

MBA (360 seats), MBA Banking (60 seats), MBA Capital Market (60 seats), MBA HR (30 seats), MBA Pharmaceutical Management (120 seats)
PGDM (Bangalore campus) (120 seats) (Hyderabad campus) (60 seats)
Admission for all the full time programmes mentioned above is through NMIMS Management Aptitude NMAT Test conducted by NMIMS

PGDM (Bangalore, Hyderabad campus): Full time bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a UGC recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in first attempt

The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/Institution awarding the degree

Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part time course or through distance learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are not eligible to apply

For all the full time programs candidates who are appearing for the final examination are eligible to apply (provisional admission subject to clearing the final examination in first attempt and in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/Institution awarding the degree with 50% aggregate marks) and also producing all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time

For all the full time programs candidates with two years and more years of post qualification work experience will be preferred

At the time of admission, the candidate should have cleared all the trimesters/semesters

Those candidates who have passed, or, have appeared for graduation examination from a University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA/CGPA obtained

It is sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualification for the admission at NMIMS

If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her in the online registration is incorrect, his/her application for the admission to the programme, even if selected, will stand cancelled

Candidates appearing for NMAT, group discussion and personal interview will do so at their own risk, eventually, forfeiting their admission for want of meeting the eligibility criteria

In such cases candidate will forfeit all the payments like NMAT registration charges, group discussion/ personal interview registration charges, program fee etc

NMIMS reserves the right to alter the terms of eligibility without intimation to the applicants

Test Centres: North (Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow); West (Mumbai, Ahmedabad); South (Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin); Central (Indore, Allahabad, Bhillai, Bhopal); East (Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Guwahati)

The venue details (school/college) at each location will be communicated to the candidates through the confirmation e-mail sent after the candidate has been scheduled

Test Structure: NMAT would be an objective type multiple choice test (there will be no descriptive type questions)

The NMAT will comprise the following; Language Skills (32 question, 22 minutes); Quantitative Skills (48 question, 60 minutes), Logical Reasoning (40 question, 38 minutes)

The candidate should note that it is important for them to perform well relative to other candidates in each of the 3 sections of the test as the score of each section and the overall score will be used to shortlist the candidate for the second stage of the selection process as well as in the final ranking

Please note that there will be no negative marking

If the candidate is not satisfied by his/her NMAT score in the first attempt he/she may schedule for Re-take NMAT by visiting www.pearsonvue.com/nmims and logging in with the allotted username and password

In case of candidates taking more than one attempt the best score which is the total score and its respective sectional score, which make the candidate eligible as per the cut offs declared by NMIMS, will be considered for short listing for subsequent process (cut off means sectional as well as total score)

The scores of all the attempts taken by the candidate will be declared on the NMIMS website

Pearson VUE will carry out the online registration and will conduct NMAT on behalf of NMIMS

How to apply for NMIMS NMAT 2012

How to apply: For appearing for NMAT online application has to be duly submitted and payment of registration charges need to be made in any of the prescribed mode within stipulated time

Candidates can apply for more than one programme/campus as per his/her eligibility by giving preferences

The preferences once given cannot be changed later on

There will be three radio buttons for registration; MBA (Full Time), PGDM and both (Full Time MBA and PGBM)

A candidate who wishes to apply for more than one campuses has to select the third option of both and has to pay registration charges

The mode of payment will be as credit card or cash at bank or demand draft

NMIMS NMAT 2013 Important Dates

Registration: 11th July, 2012, Wednesday to 25th September, 2012, Tuesday

Registration Charges: Rs 1650/- for normal registration for either MBA (Full Time Mumbai Campus or PGDM) Rs 2000/- for both MBA (Full Time Mumbai Campus and PGDM)

Late Registration: 26th September, 2012, Wednesday to 04th October, 2012, Thursday

Registration Charges: Rs 2150/- for late registration for either MBA (Full Time Mumbai Campus or PGDM); Rs 2500/- for both MBA (Full Time Mumbai Campus and PGDM)

Scheduling: 19th July, 2012, Thursday to 05th October, 2012, Friday

Rescheduling: 18th July, 2012, Wednesday to 17th December, 2012, Tuesday

Registration Charges: Rs 800/- per reschedule

Test Delivery: 11th October, 2012, Thursday to 19th December, 2012, Wednesday

Retake Scheduling: 08th October, 2012, Monday to 17th December, 2012, Monday

Registration Charges: Rs 1650/-
